On Badges...

Shoulder Flashes: These are worn on both shoulders of the tunic only. They are to be sewn on, centered 2cm. Below the shoulder seam.


Level Badges: These are worn on the left sleeve of the tunic only. They are to be sewn on centered and flush to the upper seam of the wrist cuff.


Name Tags: These are worn centered over the right pocket of your tunic (if winter dress) and over the right pocket of your t-shirt (if summer dress).


Chevrons and Propellers (Ranks): These are worn on both sleeves of the tunic only. They are to be sewn centered between your elbow and your shoulder horizontally. Epaulettes are worn with summer dress and with your parka only.


Warrant Officer Ranks: These are worn on both sleeves of the tunic only. They are to be sewn centered on both sleeves with the bottom of the badge 9 cm above the top of the cuff or if a third row of Summer Courses Qualification Badges is worn, 1 cm above the third row badge. Epaulettes are worn with summer dress and with your parka only.


Camp Badges: Similar to the level badges, the FIRST camp badge earned is sewn centered and flush against the right wrist cuff. The second badge earned is sewn directly to the left of the first, the third is sewn directly to the right of the first badge earned. Fourth camp badges and so on are sewn above the first.


Poppies: Poppies are to be worn centered and flush against the top seam of the left pocket of the tunic.


Pilot Wings: Centred, 0.5 cm above medal ribbons on the left breast pocket. If no medal ribbons are worn, wings shall be centred and placed immediately above the left breast pocket.


Fitness Badges: Centred on the left sleeve. The bottom of the badge to be positioned immediately above the top of the cuff. Only the badge for the highest level attained shall be worn.


Marksman Badges: Centred on the left sleeve. The bottom of the badge to be positioned immediately above the top of the cuff. Only the badge for the highest level attained shall be worn.


First Aid Badges: To be centred on the right sleeve, the bottom of the badge 1 cm above the top of the cuff. If Summer Courses Qualification Badges are worn, the First Aid Badge shall be centred on the right sleeve, the bottom of the badge 1 cm above the Summer Courses Qualification Badges. For Warrant Officers, the badge is worn on the right sleeve, centred between the elbow and the shoulder upper seam. If both badges have been awarded, only the Standard First Aid badge shall be worn.


Duke of Edinburgh Award: The Bronze, Silver or Gold pin awarded under the Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme shall be worn centred on the left breast pocket, equidistant between the lower seam and the lower edge of the tunic pocket flap. Only one Duke of Edinburgh pin is permitted on the uniform indicating the highest level attained by the cadet. This pin is worn on the tunic only.
*NOTE: When a Duke of Edinburgh Award Pin is worn with the Cadet Certificate of Commendation Pin, the two pins shall be worn centred on the left breast pocket equidistant between the lower seam and the lower edge of the jacket pocket flap, with 0.5 cm between the two pins. In this case, the Cadet Certificate of Commendation Pin shall be worn in the top position. Only the Cadet Certificate of Commendation Pin can be worn on the shirt.


Marksmanship Pin: The Zone, Provincial or National Championship pin awarded under the Cadet Marksmanship Championship Series shall be worn centred on the right breast pocket, equidistant between the lower seam and the lower edge of the jacket pocket flap. Only one Marksmanship Championship pin is permitted on the uniform indicating the highest level attained by the cadet. This pin is worn on the tunic only.
*NOTE: When the Cadet Marksmanship Championship Pin is worn with a Cadet Biathlon Championship Pin, the two pins shall be worn centred on the right breast pocket equidistant between the lower seam and the lower edge of the jacket pocket flap, with 0.5 cm between the two pins. In this case, the Cadet Marksmanship Championship Pin shall be worn in the top position.
