On 126 Power Flying...

Post  F/Sgt. Moulds on Tue Dec 16, 2008 10:22 pm

For those who are still interested in flying, they will no doubt have the opportunity to do so when possible. The Cessna that we have access to seats 3 passengers plus the pilot. So seats are limited on the weekends that we do go flying. The flight is roughly an hour long. You travel around the Niagara Region and often get to fly right by Niagara Falls.
When you go, it is advised to dress warmly since temperature decreases with altitude, and it's already cold outside as we’ve all seen. The plane leaves from the St. Catharines airport. The cadets will be given a time as to when the flying is at the time that they are sign up to go flying. We meet in the Flying Club building at the airport. Please don’t be late, as the runway has other planes that wish to take off and land within our timeline. Be sure to bring your health card! Please and thank you! You will not be allowed to fly without it. Also, feel free to bring a camera since the view from the sky is very beautiful. Instructions from the Optimist building to the St. Catharines airport are below…
